One of the most well-known festivals in Oxnard is the Strawberry Festival, which happens the third weekend of May each year. Although there are free shuttles to get there, guests of the Comfort Inn Oxnard can easily walk to the festival, just a block or so away. Don't expect strawberries to appear in their traditional context, since crowd favorites include Strawberry Jalapeno Poppers and Strawberry Mojito Shrimp Skewers among many other enticing dishes. You can also find arts and crafts, activities for kids, handmade goodies to take home and performances on several different stages. More than any other festival in Oxnard, this is the one not to miss!
